You receive real-time notifications, can arm/disarm the system, and access visual verification yourself.   • What alarm systems can I monitor by myself?
    With our HKC alarm systems, you’re fully in control. Once we install your burglar alarm, you can monitor it yourself using the SecureComm app. This smart, easy-to-use app lets you keep an eye on your home security wherever you are. If your alarm is triggered, you’ll get an instant alert straight to your smartphone, so you can check what’s happening in real-time. There’s no need to rely on a third-party monitoring service – you have the power to monitor your security system yourself, giving you peace of mind and faster response time.
  • Are there any monthly fees or subscriptions required for using the SecureComm app for remote monitoring?
    Yes, our Remote Monitoring plans can all be seen just above on this webpage. Prices start at just £12.99 per month which is extremely competitive compared to third party monitored subscriptions which can be 3-6 times this amount! There is also no contract and your first month is free!
  • Can I monitor my home security system on my smartphone using the SecureComm app from anywhere?
    Yes! As long as you have mobile phone data or a Wifi connection you can control your home security from anywhere, anytime! You can even have the app on several devices so that your whole family can control the system.
  • How reliable is remote monitoring through the SecureComm app in terms of receiving real-time alerts and notifications?
    Extremely! As long as you have an internet connection, your notifications will be in real-time.
  • Can I arm, disarm, or manage my alarm system remotely using the SecureComm app?

  • What happens if I lose my smartphone or it gets stolen? Is my security system compromised?
    No. Your SecureComm app will be password and/or FaceID protected just like many other personal apps. If someone without the password tried to open the app they would't be able to gain access.
  • How does the app handle system malfunctions or low battery notifications for sensors?
    Our SecureComm app has you covered when it comes to keeping your alarm system in top shape. If there’s a malfunction or a sensor has a low battery, the app will send you a friendly notification right away. You’ll know exactly what’s going on and which part of your security system needs attention, so there are no surprises. This means you can stay on top of maintenance and make sure your home stays secure at all times. Plus, if you ever need help, we’re just a call away!
  • Does remote monitoring affect the response time in case of an actual emergency or break-in?
    Oftentimes yes. The reason being that if you have received verification to your phone of various zones in your home being triggered that would indicate an intruder roaming the house, you can give this information to the police to assure them it is not a false alarm. If you have a camera PIR sensor and that zone is triggered while the alarm is set, you will have visual proof to provide to the police too which will often speed up response time.
